ALTAI-PLANET 3000 - OPEN INTERNATIONAL PROJECT

What is the essence and mission of this project?

Altai is a repository of cultures of ancient civilizations. This is the place where cultures of different people interrelate, strengthen their best qualities and become facets of a single, whole culture of humanity.

Mountains have always been a symbol of the greatness of human spirit, symbol of Beauty, symbol of aspiration to perfection. Mountains are becoming multi-functional territories of humanity. So consciously creating a new system of educational, ecological and ethno-cultural tourism will lead to accomplishing many tasks.

The first task is the occupation and welfare of everybody. The second one is raising the standard of living to a much higher level by using nature saving technologies of vital activity and life maintenance. Indigenous people are keepers of the ancient moral and ecological principles of human existence, deep feelings of nature's life, so needed for western civilization. We are to revive moral and ecological principles, laying in the basis of cultures of all indigenous peoples. They are to become aware of their own value and role in the future world community. Creating practical models and technologies of family and relatives, focused on a renaissance of ancient world handicrafts, as well as the moral and ecological potential of our ancestors means help to us. The third task is consciously going ahead in creating international systems of public ecological education and enlightenment in the need to have a conscious presence in the mountains - becoming aware of the consequences of all our thoughts, words and actions and their effect on global affairs.

The mission of the project is to transform Altai Mountains into a planetary ecologic educational school for all peoples of the world to learn to live in harmony in a multi-cultural world, where every nation is unique and where diversity is appreciated as a great gift. "Altai - Planet 3000" is an open international project.

The sign of a New Time is ability to act together for Common Welfare. This IS the way we act, creating teams acting in resonance and focusing towards the future.

ALTAI-PLANET 3000 project, what is it?

It is a multi-leveled project based on clearly realizing the role of Altai on the verge of the millenniums - to become a place for the conscious awakening of the life purpose of every human and every people. We see Altai as a territory for the future where children and grown ups are happy and healthy, where youth can take responsibility for life, where old people are joyful and recognized by all as wise elders. Altai is seen as a network of ethno cultural international communities, creating new qualities of life.

The basic functions of these communities are:

• Life-long education. It is as a process of awakening within each person a creator of his/her own destiny, a being able to take responsibility for life on our planet.
• Multi-national Culture. It is a process of obtaining the inner qualities to appreciate diversity as a gift for enriching each other and raising consciousness. Culture is the essence and quality of life.
• Creative information. It is the process of taking total responsibility for every word and promoting new outlooks appropriate for a New Time and new models of actions based on collective interrelationships for the Common Welfare.
• Cultural and Educational Ecological tourism It is educating ourselves on the road and learning to take responsibility for nature, for conscious harmonious relationships between people and nature. It is becoming aware of a human being as a source of harmony for nature and other people.
• Culture of Health It is realizing models for physical, social and moral health as a condition for happy and successful lives.

Principles of interrelationships:

• Contentment - everybody is unique, does what he/she likes to do and makes his /her input to the Common Accomplishment;
• Mutual support - by supporting others we support ourselves and our common project
• Multi-leveled self-organization and self responsibility - everybody creates his/her accomplishment and takes his/her responsibility. (Level of responsibility depends of level of inner energy and level of ability to cooperate and create a team)
• Collective cooperation - The greater the dream (project) the higher level of cooperation we need. We use educational technology to develop cooperation.

How is this project managed?

The project is managed by an international coordination counsel as a non commercial partnership of public movements and governments. The project is developed through annual events, conducted according to new principles and fulfilling the role of collective catalyzers and collective coordinators of the project, growing together and raising the level of effectiveness and self-organization. They are:

1. Cultural and educational expeditions to Altai, Baikal, Urals and other countries (Cornwall, Brazil)

2. Annual conference - relay-race - "Unity of Cultures: from historical memory to historical future"

3. Annual congress "Mountain civilizations in the third millennium"
